The gap
Millions of Filipinos have the discipline and drive to build a remote career. Many simply never got the on-ramp — not because they lack ability, but because of circumstance.
Alpha Academy is free and online — but “free and online” still assumes a device and a connection. That assumption doesn’t hold everywhere in the Philippines.
Remote work as a real, viable career path is still not common knowledge in many communities — especially outside Metro Manila and major cities.
Self-directed learning works well for people who already know how to teach themselves. It works less well for a first-timer with no mentor and no community.
Our founding vision
Physical, community-based spaces — per barangay — with training, internet access, and mentorship, so that where you’re born doesn’t determine whether you can build a remote career.
Where this stands today: this is a founding vision we are actively building toward — not yet an operating program. We stay direct about that, because trust matters more than sounding further along than we are.
What already exists: the free, self-paced Alpha Academy curriculum (open to anyone with a device and internet), and a growing Facebook community of Filipino remote-work learners. The physical hub network is the next chapter.
How we envision a hub
In partnership with a barangay hall, community center, or NGO — internet and devices on-site, no personal connection required.
A simplified, offline-ready version of Alpha Academy — slower-paced, foundational, with a trained community facilitator.
Graduates receive the same AVS Certificate and the same path toward the talent network as any other Alpha Academy graduate — placement is never automatic; The Alpha 6 still applies.
Roadmap
Alpha Academy is live — open to any Filipino with a device and internet. This is the foundation everything else builds on.
We’re looking for our first barangay, NGO, or LGU partner to run a pilot hub — prove the model in one community before scaling.
Each proven hub becomes the template for the next — community by community across the Philippines and, over time, beyond.
